Office of Public Guardian
The Office of Public Guardian (OPG) provides guardianship and conservatorship services for adults* who are unable to make basic life decisions for themselves due to conditions such as aging-related illness, intellectual disabilities, brain injuries, and mental illness. People often have no other family or friends to care for them or have been victims of abuse, neglect or exploitation. We continue to make a consistent effort to locate and reunite individuals with family members or close friends. Often they are able to assume responsibility for the person’s long-term care.
